Day 1: Arrival
Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). We will arrange a private transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Moshi at Altezza Lodge, which is beautifully located on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure. The rest of the day is at leisure or suggest city tour activities.
Upon arriving to the hotel, we will gather in for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check.
We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

Day 2: Moshi to Swahili Coasts of Tanga
Early morning Breakfast, our driver will be there ready to pick you up and depart heading to Tanga. This place was once another stopping point, in competition with Pangani and Bagamoyo, for caravans on their way to the hinterland of Central Africa searching for ivory and slaves. The Germans also made it a centre of colonial administration during their occupation in the early 20th century. Evidence of German’s presence can be found in Tanga’s architecture today, but only few landmarks and historical buildings have remained in the area. Tanga’s port, however, provides a main link between northern Tanzania and the Indian Ocean.
Upon arrival do a short City tour to enjoy nice sceneries of Tanga City, and activities conducted by the Swahili People living along the Indian Ocean coasts, before heading to the Lodge for Overnight.

Day 3: A Visit to Amboni Caves
Today after morning breakfast depart heading to Amboni Caves, the most extensive limestone caves in East Africa. They are located 8 km north of Tanga City in Tanzania off the Tanga-Mombasa Road. The caves were formed about 150 million years ago during the Jurassic age. It covers an area of 234 km². According to researchers the area was under water some 20 million years ago. There are altogether ten caves but only one is used for guided tours.
Reports indicate that ethnic groups such as Sambaa, Bondei and Digo who lived near the caves used it for prayers, there are also sacred chambers for worshiping some spirits believed to harbor supernatural powers to remove sufferings and cure curse causing sickness and body weakness. The caves are very dark inside and considered lethal if walked inside without a guide, nearly all its tunnels or chambers are accessible to tourists via guided tour.

Day 4: Another Visit to Historical City of Pangani
Today after breakfast we take a historical city tour and discover on foot the historical buildings in Pangani, the former slave market, the old port and slave routes.
Once a center of Swahili trade with the African mainland, the Pangani is now a forgotten and sleepy place with few memories of days of splendor. The old German administration building still stands behind a colonnade of tall shade trees. And the former prison, painted in a fading ocher red, overlooks the lazy waters of the river. Old houses along the main road provide inhabited examples of colonial and traditional Swahili architecture.
Unfortunately, the buildings are slowly crumbling in the monsoon winds. But even a short walk will reward you with a glimpse of the quiet life in an old trading town along the Swahili coast.

Day 5: Magoroto Tropical Rain Forest
After morning breakfast depart and drive up to Magoroto Forest for full day tour activities. Lunch and snacks will be served at Magoroto forest near the Lake.
Magoroto with its tropical rain forest is the perfect spot for a getaway and outdoor camping. The estate is located on an altitude of 850m above sea level where temperatures are pleasant all year long. The estate offers stunning views from the Muheza Valley to the Indian ocean. Enjoy the lush rain forest with rare plants and bird species, explore the dense tropical forest with organic spices or have a picnic or swim in our beautiful lake.

Day 6: Cycling tour to Galanos sulphur Hot Spring
Today we have time for a short tour cycling to Galanos sulphur hot spring which the local people use to bath for skin healing which the local believe and bath there. Pass there while crossing local farms of various type like coconut, vegetable gardens and learn the process of planting to harvesting of the crops.

Later afternoon depart heading back to Moshi Town.

Day 7: Departure
Today after breakfast you have a leisure stay at the hotel depending on your flight schedule before later being transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for a departure back home or your next destinations.
